#149: Triple H, X-Pac, Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn vs. Cactus Jack, The Rock, Rikishi & Too Cool, WWE Raw is War (2/7/2000).

This match takes place a week after the arrival of The Radicalz from WCW, and the match was set up earlier in the night when they turned on Cactus Jack. The Hell in a Cell Match between Jack and Triple H was made official on this night as well. This match is famous for having one of the hottest crowds in WWE history.

Jack and Rock start brawling with DX and the Radicalz right away, but here comes Rikishi and Too Cool to even the odds! Big brawl in the ring, around ringside, and on the ramp. Rock and Triple H are on the ramp, while Benoit and Jack go at it, and Too Cool and Rikishi brawl with the Radicalz! The fans are absolutely molten for this already. It’s really one of the best crowds in WWE history. Both teams regroup in their corners, as Grandmaster Sexay and X-Pac go at it in the ring.

Sexay with a neckbreaker, followed by a knee drop off the middle rope that Pac avoids. Saturn tags in,a and runs into a scoop slam. Scotty 2 Hotty tags in, and they hit a double elbow to the chest of Saturn. Facebuster by Scotty, and the crowd pops hard as he hits the Worm on Saturn. Malenko’s selling of the Worm on the apron is priceless. Scotty knocks him off the apron, and Saturn with a underhook belly to belly suplex.

Malenko tags in, and he pops off a heel kick. Clothesline in the corner, and Scotty fights back with a reverse suplex. Rikishi tags in, and he blocks a clothesline by Malenko to hit a big one of his own. Rikishi goes to sit on Malenko, who runs away and tags Benoit in, who walks into one of the best Samoan Drops ever given. Benoit quickly fights back by clubbing Rikishi in the head and exploding with a German Suplex.

Rikishi sends Benoit sternum first into the turnbuckle, then squashes him in the opposing corner. Jack tags in, and he explodes with strikes to Benoit in the corner. Jack then goes right for Triple H, and they fight on the outside. He sends Triple H onto the announcer’s table, and the rest of the team cut him off. Saturn brings Jack back into the ring. I don’t even know what the crowd is chanting, but they are fucking loud.

Triple H tags in, and he stomps away at Jack’s midsection in the corner. Jack with a big strike to Triple H, but The Game brings him over to tag in Pac. Jack with a swinging neckbreaker to Pac. Jack tags in The Rock, and he explodes on Pac with punches in the corner. Spinebuster to Malenko, and one to Benoit! Rock Bottom to Pac, and he covers, but Triple H breaks up the pin. He goes for the Pedigree, but Rikishi with a superkick to Triple H. Saturn superkicks Rock. Pac goes for the Bronco Buster, but Rock cuts him off with a clothesline.

Sexay tags in, and he comes off the top rope with a leg drop! Pac is back up with a kick to the face. Triple H tags in, and punches Sexay repeatedly. High Harley Race knee connects, as the crowd chants ā€œasshole.ā€ Saturn tags in, and clotheslines Sexay. Now Benoit tags in, and they double back elbow Sexay, before sending snot his way. Big back suplex by Benoit, and he gets a nearfall off of that. Triple H makes the tag, and he and Pac double team Sexay. You could have a drinking game for how many times Stephanie McMahon says ā€œmistakeā€ on commentary.

Triple H with a suplex to Sexay, and he tags in Saturn, who hits a nice leg drop for a 2 count. Saturn with a chop to the chest, and a tag to Malenko. Nice frequent tags from the heels. Double dropkick by Malenko and Saturn, and here comes Benoit, who unloads with a knife edge chop to Sexay. Sexay fights back with a double DDT to Saturn and Benoit. He tags Jack, who goes right after Benoit in the corner by biting him.

Rock and Pac get into it as both teams start brawling. The referee never saw the tag from Jack, as Triple H hits the Pedigree on Sexay, and Benoit hits the diving headbutt to Sexay for the win. All 10 men are brawling, and here comes the New Age Outlaws with weapons. A 7 on 2 fight gets going, and then the lights go out. The tron comes back up, and here comes Paul Bearer in a nice red suit. Familiar music plays, and pyro explodes as Kane makes his return to WWE, and his sights are set on DX and X-Pac. He even the odds, beating the hell out of DX and the Radicalz. The babyfaces stand tall, as the show goes off the air.

For a quick 10 minute TV main event, this fucking ruled. The crowd loved everything they saw, and all 10 guys got a chance to shine in their own way. You have a lot of different styles working against each other here, and they all gel so well. It's chaotic, it's hectic, and it's nonstop action from bell to bell. This match is a great example of why the Attitude Era worked for a lot of people around this time.
